Knitwear is not
fast fashion.
It's an heirloom.

Our Story

House of Gaia was born in a small workshop in Modena, where a family of textile artisans had been knitting for three generations. When industrial cut-and-sew methods began dominating the market, we chose a different path: to preserve fully fashioned flatknit construction and prove it could exist in a modern context.

Every piece we make is knitted to shape, not cut from a roll. This means less waste, better fit, and garments that hold their form for years โ€” not seasons. We work with a small network of fibre suppliers in Mongolia, Australia, Peru, and Italy, each selected for their commitment to animal welfare and sustainable land management.

What We Stand For

Zero-Waste Knitting

Whole-garment and fully fashioned techniques eliminate the fabric waste inherent in cut-and-sew production. Each panel is knitted to its final shape.

Radical Transparency

We publish the origin of every fibre, the name of every mill, and the true cost breakdown of each garment. Nothing is hidden.

Timeless Over Trendy

We design pieces meant to be worn for a decade, not a season. Classic silhouettes in beige, black, and white that never go out of style.

Fair Craft

Our artisans in Modena earn a living wage and work in a facility we own. No outsourcing, no intermediaries, no hidden supply chains.
